A Thought Without Belief Can’t Hurt You

A thought without a belief has no power, but a thought with a belief can create so much pain in your life.

I speak to people all the time.

A thought that a bulging disc or herniated disc or spinal stenosis or depression or your parents or your kids or your job can cause you pain is just a thought.

But once that becomes a belief and you believe that to be true, that thought can create so much pain in your life. And the truth is most of the time it’s limiting. And it’s unnecessary pain.

I speak to people all the time.

They waive their MRIs like a badge of honor.

I have a bulging disc, herniated disc, spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia. It’s chronic. I’m going to have it forever.

Well, the thought is one thing. But once you believe it to be true, you put yourself in this box that limits your life and creates so much pain in your life.

So, how do you change it?

If you’re happy with the belief and you’re happy with your life don’t change anything.

If you’re not?
Question the belief. Because probably there’s a very good argument that that belief is not true. And beliefs change all the time.

We’re always changing these beliefs.
We’re always changing our beliefs as we grow and as we learn.

So if you don’t have the success in your life. If you have pain in your life. If you have emotional pain. And you have physical pain. Take a good look at the belief – the thought and the belief – that’s got you stuck where you are because you might be able to get out of it.
